Energy Sheet Piles
Our Energy Sheet Piles QsHeat® combines proven sheet pile construction with the demands of modern building projects. The thermal activation of steel sheet piles enables the efficient use of environmental heat from the ground or adjacent bodies of water, making it an innovative and sustainable solution for port and hydraulic engineering. At our Haida location, we offer the possibility to customize all common profile types with patented collectors, precisely tailored to the requirements of your projects. Factory-pre-activated panels ensure immediate readiness for use, while retrofittable attachments allow for seamless integration into existing structures.

Functionality
Advantages of Energy Steel Sheet Piles
- Reduce CO₂ emissions, gas-free heating, and 100% recyclable steel.
- More cost-effective than other geothermal systems, with minimally invasive installation.
- Suitable for both heating and cooling, offering high efficiency (COP up to 5.0).
- No fluid exchange with the ground, ensuring minimal environmental risk.
- Low structural height, ideal for urban areas, with silent operation.

The Energy Sheet Piles technology has already proven to be reliable and forward-thinking in pilot projects in Germany and the Netherlands. It is now being implemented for the first time in a large-scale project at the Havelquartier in Potsdam. On the approximately 70,000 m² site located directly on the Havel River, six modern building complexes are being constructed. As part of the project, 150 meters of the riverbank sheet pile wall are being thermally activated, which will be utilized in a later construction phase to sustainably heat and cool one of the buildings.
